What happens if a check-in is missed
A gentle nudge to them, then to you, then to the wider Circle.
Getwello takes the missed-check-in flow seriously, but never frantically. Three steps in order:
- Reminder to the Check-in Member. A short while after their window closes, they get a calm in-app and email reminder. "Just checking in — are you well?"
- Coordinator alert. At the same time, every Coordinator in the Circle gets an alert. So you know to make a phone call.
- Escalation to Support Members. If the day still has no check-in after the escalation delay, every Support Member also gets the alert.
You control the timings on the Circle page:
- Window end — the time of day their check-in is expected by.
- Mark missed after — minutes past the window before we mark the day missed and start step 1 above.
- Escalate after — minutes past missed before step 3 fires.
Reasonable defaults are 30 minutes for "mark missed" and 60 minutes for "escalate". Loosen them if you find the alerts feel jumpy. Tighten them if you want faster reassurance.
